Playable (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users (“you”, “your”) of the Playable mobile application. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the Playable mobile application, we may collect the following types of personal information:

Name

• Phone number (authenticated via OTP)

• Google account information (via Google Sign-In)

• Age

• Gender

• City

• Para-athlete classification (as per official Paralympic guidelines)

• Camera (for profile image or related app features)

• Location (used only during initial sign-in to identify region/city)

• Gallery (for profile image or related app features)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To authenticate users and enable secure login

• To match users with other suitable individuals for training and sports activities

• To enable in-app communication and coordination between users

• To personalise your experience and support para-athlete networking

We do not use your data for advertising or any third-party purposes.

We may also use aggregated and anonymised data for other internal business purposes, subject to applicable laws.  

In addition to the purposes set out in the Policy, we may disclose any data we collected or processed from you if it is required under applicable law or to respond to a legal process, such as a search warrant, court order, or subpoena.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored on cloud servers managed under a dedicated AWS account owned by Playable. We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data from unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure.

We will store any personal data we collect from you as long as it is necessary in order to facilitate your use of the Services and for ancillary legitimate and essential business purposes – these include, without limitation, for improving our Services, attending to technical issues, and dealing with disputes.

4. Third-Party Access and Sharing

Playable does not share your personal information with any third parties. Your data is used exclusively for the functioning and improvement of the Playable platform.

5. Permissions

The app may request access to the following permissions on your Android device:

• Location – to identify your city/region during sign-in

• Camera – for capturing profile images or content related to your profile

• Gallery (for profile image or related app features)

These permissions are strictly used for core features and are not accessed without your consent.

6. Children’s Privacy

Playable is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from individuals under 13 years of age. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may contact us at any time to:

• Request access to or correction of your personal data

• Delete your account and associated data

• Raise any concerns regarding data privacy or usage
